Canine Good CitizenŽ
The Canine Good CitizenŽ (CGC) Program was started in 1989. The CGC Program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
You are not required to be in an Obedience class to do CGC testing. CGC testing is usually on the last day of class and costs $5. The testing is free if you are registered in one of the classes or a member of USRVDTC.
The next CGC testing is scheduled for March 27th at the 4-H building during the last day 0f Obedience Class.
