2012 Spring Agility Classes Wednesday Evenings
Classes will be held in Tautphaus Park, west of the fountain, on Fountain View Drive
April 18, 2012 thru June 6, 2012
6:00 pm to 7:00 pm - Foundations / Beginning - for dogs with no prior experience
Intermediate - for dogs that have completed Foundation / Basic
7:15 to 8:30 pm - Advanced Competition - for dogs that have completed Intermediate, have instructor permission, and are competing.
$50.00 per session (8 classes) That's right you get 8 classes for the sum total of $50.00
Pre-registration required.
Due to the nature of the class dogs that are dog or people aggressive are not suitable for any of these classes. Pre-requisite for all classes is successful completion and mastery of previous class (i.e. Agility Foundations before Intermediate). In special circumstances previous class requirement may be waived if handler/dog demonstrate they have needed skills.
COME AND JOIN THE FUN!!!! You will need a buckle collar, leash, tug-type toy, and small moist treats every class.

In this class you and your dog will become acquainted with
each obstacle—how to approach the obstacle, what to call
the obstacle, and how to maneuver over/through the obstacle.
Your dog should know some simple commands such as Sit,
Down, Stay or Wait.
Agility Class Definitions
Foundation/ Beginning Class:
Introduction to obstacles and focus.
Intermediate:
Beginning sequencing and handling.
Competition:
Advanced sequencing and handling

WE EXPECT MEMBERS TO MEET TWO OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS A YEAR TO BE CONSIDERED ACTIVE:
1. Attend 4 club meetings (10 meetings, club picnic, Christmas
Party are all considered meeting).
2. Instruct or assist 1 training class per year (5 sessions per
year).
3. Serve as a Club Officer or Committee Chairperson.
4. Steward at two trials per year (9 trials per year).
