Trick Dog

Description

If you are looking to build a stronger relationship with your dog, want to have fun, and are feeling the winter blues, this trick dog class is for you! Teaching your dog tricks isn’t only an enjoyable pass time for you; it is great mental and physical exercise for your dog! Tricks learned in this class can be both entertaining and practical, and will make your dog the hit of any party with tricks like play dead, spin, shake, paws up, and many more. At the end of our six-week course, you will have learned the skills to earn an AKC trick dog title (either Novice or Intermediate). We can’t wait for you and your dog to join us! 

Classes

We currently offer a combined beginning/intermediate class. Whether you are new to trick dog or intermediate level you will get learn something new in this class.

Next Class Session

Classes will start TBD.  It is a 6 week class, with the 7th class being an optional trick dog test.  Classes will be held weekly on Tuesdays. All classes will be held at the 4H building at the Bonneville County Fairgrounds, south of Sandy Downs (see map below). 

Prerequisites

Before taking the trick dog class, your dog should:

  • Have completed a basic obedience course.
  • The dog must be 6 months or older

Registration

  • PRE-REGISTRATION is required.
  • Classes are limited to space available.  Register early to secure your spot.
  • Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis.
  • Registration should be completed online using the online store.  Your slot is reserved when you have finished checking out.  You will receive a confirmation email when your order is complete.
  • If the class shows as “Out of Stock”, the class is full
  • If the class is full you may add your name to a waiting list in the case that a slot opens up.
  • Online payment options for PayPal are available.  If you plan to use a credit card, select the PayPal option.
  • Once the online registration is complete, you should receive a confirmation email, including your order number. Save this confirmation for future reference. Should you not receive this confirmation email, please contact the training director listed below.
  • Class registration will be closed no later than one week prior to the class start date.

Cost

Costs are for the entire duration of the class, not a weekly rate.

  • Standard Rate: $100.00
  • Senior Discount (55 and older): $80.00
  • Dog Adopted from Shelter or Humane Society: $65.00 (must show adoption papers, reduced price is for first time through classes only)
  • Second Dog in Same Family for a single class: $85.00
  • Inactive Club Members: $50.00

Cancellation Fees

Attention: If you cancel your registration, there will be a cancellation/processing fee which will be deducted from the refund. Cancellation fees are as follows:
  • $20.00 if cancelled at any time.
  • $25.00 if cancelled 14 days or less before start of class.
  • NO refunds if cancelled 10 days or less before start of class.

Map

Winter classes will be held at the 4H building at Bonneville County fairgrounds.  We meet at the primary building (the one closest to S 15th E).  You can park in front or in back.  Please enter at the side door in the middle of the building.
